Sales of new cars in the UK fell by 2.9% in October compared to the same month last year to 153,599 cars, data from the SMMT showed. The reason for the negative dynamics was the insufficient number of cars for some brands due to changes in their models and a longer emission certification process. Sales of hybrid models increased last month by 30.7%. By the end of the year, SMMT experts expect further decline in demand for new cars in the UK market.
